Aisha somo hili litajadiliwa kw...

LEARNG KISWAHILI EASY , JIFUNZE KISWAHILI

GENERAL COMMENTS REGARDING THE KISWAHILI GRAMMAR info.masshele@gmail.com PRONUNCIATIONS Kiswahili language is among the easiest language to learn over the worlds languages. This is due the fact that, you pronounce a word as you write it. This is contrary to Indo-European languages such as German, English and French to mention just a few whose pronunciations are quite different from how they are written. Kiswahili Vowels and Consonants (a) Vowels: Vowels are five by number including /a/, /e/, /i/, /o/, /u/. These vowels are pronounced distinctly and clearly, regardless of the position they take. A vowel is a syllable that means the utterance you make when articulating a word. In Kiswahili, stress (which is underlying realised as accent) is on the last syllable by one. As you articulate a word, you node your head at the end of a syllable. Otherwise, you will ask a question. This is because in this language, the same construction can be a statement or question - depending where t...

THE HISTORY OF SWAHILI LANGUAGE PDF

Swahili is a Bantu language with a lot of borrowed words from Arabic. It existed even before the arrival of the first visitors on the East Africa coast who were Arabs as noted by historians like Grenville.     Swahili is a Bantu language with a lot of borrowed words from Arabic; as a result, the Swahili language is often thought to be a resultant language from the interaction between the Arabs and Bantus. This is not true for Swahili existed even before the arrival of the first visitors on the East Africa coast who were Arabs as noted by historians like Grenville. According to Grenville, an Arab explorer and trader Ibn Batutta who was among the first explorers on East African coast had visited towns of Zeila, Mogadishu, Mombasa, Kilwa and Swahili land. Therefore, Swahili land is a geographical area of Swahili speakers.                 Evidence from oral literature supports the fact that Swahili was in existence even before inte...

How To Learn A Foreign Language In 3 Months

Image
Adam Berry/Getty Images Benny Lewis speaks six languages fluently. "French and Spanish, English, German, and Brazilian Portuguese..." he ticks them off for me. "And  Esperanto ." That last one is a made-up language, or a "constructed international auxiliary language," meaning it was designed to help people from different nations without a common tongue communicate. Lewis is the author of the new book "  Fluent in 3 Months: How Anyone at Any Age Can Learn to Speak Any Language from Anywhere in the World ." The title pretty much says it all. He believes - strongly - that with the correct approach and enough practice, anyone can master a foreign language in  as little as three months . "There's almost an epidemic of people thinking they don't have a language gene," he says. "So many people end up learning a second language but never speaking it."  Courtesy of Benny Lewis Benny Lewis, author of the new book ...

Solutions and translation strategies to deal with these cases are presented throughout the analysis. These categories are suggested by Baker (1992) in her discussion of non-equivalence at the word level. She dealt with the problem of non-equivalence giving examples from different languages including Arabic. However, the Arabic examples she gave were limited. More extensive example list of Arabic terms will contribute to Arab translators from and into English. Culture-specific terms and concepts in the two languages 1.
