Young concerned with player safety after Smalling incident in Arsenal game
Following an incident involving Chris Smalling and a pitch invader in the game against Arsenal, Manchester United defender Ashley Young believes something needs to be done to protect the players.

A pitch invader stormed the Emirates playing surface after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tucked away his penalty to double Arsenal's lead. The invader shoved Chris Smalling before joining the Arsenal players in celebrating the goal. The defeat meant that United suffer their first league loss under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they slip out of the top four.
In an interview with BeIN Sports, Young expressed his concerns about the safety of players after the pitch invasion incident, "I think it’s the third time a fan has got on the pitch and what if they are carrying something? The players will be at danger.
"I think, whether it’s the FA, the Premier League, FIFA, something needs to be done whether its extra stewarding with the one earlier today (Grealish in Aston Villa’s game vs Birmingham) and Chrissy today, but something has definitely got to be done."
