TRANSFER NEWS: Barcelona star threatens to QUIT if Coutinho joins Barca

Image
Gerard Deulofeu doesn’t want the club to sign Liverpool talisman Philippe Coutinho. The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp in recent months. Barca tabled three bids for the playmaker in the summer, who handed in a transfer request in hope of forcing through a dream move to La Liga. However, the Reds held firm and kept hold of their key man, and he has netted 13 goals and chipped in with eight assists in all competitions this campaign. Barca is expected to return to Coutinho, 25, in the January transfer window, with a mammoth bid readied. However, according to Spanish transfer outlet  Don Balon , Deulofeu doesn’t want Coutinho at the Nou Camp. The former Everton star knows the arrival of the Liverpool man will reduce his game time even more.

EL CLASICO: 6 players to watch out for

Image
The El Classico is a must-win game for Real Madrid this time as they are 11 points behind their arch-rivals, but Barcelona are undefeated in La Liga and they will be desperate to keep it that way. Which players will make the difference in this weekend's El Classico? Lionel Messi- Barcelona Barcelona's third goal against Deportivo on Sunday started very deep, with lots of passes and movement off the ball, and Messi was at the heart of it. It was a glimpse of what he might be like in a few years, when the pace is gone but he still has the vision. Right now, though, he still has both. Ernesto Valverde agreed to play him in the centre soon after his arrival at the club. It has affected Luis Suarez, who can't find as much space as in previous seasons, but it has allowed Messi to be even more influential, switching between playing as an attacking midfielder or as a forward.  He has got the intelligence for both roles and that is what sets him apart. He has bee...

MADRID SPAIN: EL CLASICO PREVIEW: Why Real Madrid will win

Image
The first El Clasico of the 2017/18 LaLiga Santander season between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is set to take place on Saturday, 23rd December. The first Clasico of the campaign will once again break records that only a select few sporting events in the world can compete for. The fixture will be broadcast  live in 188 countries , with potential viewing figures of 650 million, reinforcing its international magnitude. Real Madrid will win. Why?  They have Ronaldo.  A Ronaldo who won his fifth Ballon and won his club the FIFA Club World Cup the other day. A man said to be the best in the world and has finally found his boots at this time of the season, after an arguably slow start. Remember, Neymar has not been properly replaced and Luis Suarez's inconsistent form is a consequence of him struggling to find as much space. Madrid were fancied to retain the title, particularly having beaten Barcelona home and away in the Super Cup. But it did not take long f...

Do NOT give Cr7 a new contract!! 9

Five Real Madrid stars are urging Florentino Perez not to give Cristiano Ronaldo a new contract, according to reports in Spain. Ballon d'Or holder Ronaldo's long-term future at Real is in doubt with allegations that he has fallen out with some key personnel at the club. However, Ronaldo has recently insisted that he wants to see out the rest of his career at the Bernabeu. But reports claim that team captain  Sergio Ramos  does not want him to pen a new contract - as he believes other members of the squad would also warrant new deals. Diario Gol claim that  Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Isco and Toni Kroos  also hold the same opinion. Ronaldo, 32, only extended his current deal to the summer of 2021 last year. Ronaldo revealed last week that his future in the Spanish capital is down to the club and not himself. There were reports earlier this month that Ronaldo and Ramos had clashed on the training ground. However, Ramos said following t...
